Fern Hollow Farm is excited to host educational events and seminars. Certain seminars are available to the public, while others are open only to the current client basis. If you are interested, have questions, or would like to sign up, contact us here.

2024 Summer Workshops:

June 6, 2-5 PM: Riding U/S and Equitation on the flat classes

Cost: $60/1st family member, $50/2nd family member

This clinic will offer students the opportunity to learn how to ride U/S and equitation on the flat classes. Students will watch upper-level riders in a flat class and ride in a flat class with critiques and instruction both during and after.

**Available to current students of Fern Hollow Farm only

June 7, 2-5 PM: What Judges Are Looking For O/F Equitation and Hunters

Cost: $45/1st family member, $35/2nd family member

This clinic will offer students the opportunity to learn what judges are looking for in O/F classes. Students will see multiple different horses or varying conformation, and different riders. It will give students and parents a better understanding of what students need to work on to be more competitive and why they would place over or under others in their classes.

**Available to the public, advanced sign-up up required

July 11, 2-5 PM: Strength and Flexibility in Riding Position

Cost: $60/1st family member, $50/2nd family member

This clinic will help students understand how their strength and flexibility are impacting their riding position and control of the horse. It will include strength and flexibility work on the ground, followed by a group riding class that will help students understand how they can improve their position to be more competitive in equitation classes and more effective in riding.

July 25, 2-5 PM: Braiding/Mane Pulling

Cost: $45/1st family member, $35/2nd family member

During this clinic, you can learn how to correctly pull manes and braid. You will be given basic instruction, and have the opportunity to practice both mane pulling and braiding. If you already know how to braid, this can also serve as a reminder and practice session to prepare for summer and fall shows.
